40 Marin Academy Outings

Marin Academy’s Outings have been a vital part of the school since its inception in 1972. The 1972 Outings philosophy states, “We believe that small-group adventure experience in wilderness and other natural settings will contribute to our students’ personal and social growth and to their values clarification process…” So take a look at some of the Outings we have offered over the years (and please forward along any Outings catalogs you might have from the 70s, 80, and 90s – our archive would love them!) and then GET OUTSIDE!

  1. Great program. Reminds me of wonderfully expansive IAP gamuts at MIT.

IAP= independent activity period – a month of awesome out of the box adventuring for mind and body.
